Tranny oil much more dirty after rekluse?

Recommended Posts

For about 5 rides now my Tranny oil is coming out really dirty. Seems to be related to the time I put the rekluse in. Anyone else have this problem that is running a rekluse? I re-checked and the rekluse is right at .035 spech. I run Honda 80 wt red and change every single ride..no matter how long, short, usually around 40-70 miles. The red oil is grey is "swirly" even after 40 miles. Everything seems fine otherwise. I use the tranny (ie what gear I am in) the same as before the clutch change, so no I am not making it slip a lot by riding too high og a gear etc.

Thanks

i don't have one but the way you describe it i think it just wears alittle more than your stock clutch thus creating dirty oil

It must be the Recluse, as my tranny oil even after 2 hare scrambles still comes out a slight Golden color, and very clean.

THe REcluse may run hotter as it has to slip the clutch plates more, therefore building up friction heat, that will blacken your oil.
