07' 400S rejet

Just wanted to make sure I will have all the parts I need before tearing into the bike. As far as I can tell there is NO difference from the 06' to 07' models, but I just picked up the bike yesterday.

Lemme know if I am forgetting something.....

3X3 mod

DJ stage 1 kit

SS float bowl screws

aftermarket idle mixture adjustment screw

Stock exhaust

140 main (may be a little rich?) 2000' to 5000'

25 pilot

4th clip on needle.

That's what I did... and the 140 does seem a little rich at elevation

I'd would like to optimze the jetting for around 3000'. So maybe a main in the mid 130's? Heck, they are cheap enough I could just buy a 10 pack and try em all out. ?

All the main jets you need will be in your DJ kit, you will need to order the pilot individually though.

thanks. I just ordered a yosh RS3 full system today so I will jet with that in mind. So with DJ, the 3X3 and yosh exhaust, jetting optimized for 3000'......

3rd or 4th needle clip position? Its seems guys at elevation are running in the 3rd position but they appear to be at over 5000'

Sorry about beating this to death. I read the jetting database and it seems guys are all over the board wrt to jetting the S. ?

136 main, 25 pilot, needle in the 4th with a Muzzy exhaust.

Elevations from 2000-7000ft.

I might be able to get it better but not much.

Besides that temps I ride in are from close to freezing to 100degrees F.

And the DJ kit does come with smaller jets(under 140) so you don't have to buy them separately!!

thanks northcrf. I'll start with a 140 and work down from there as 3000' is about my median riding elevation and I will hit from 1000 to 6000 on any given ride. Ambient air temps are also all over the board. At least I know I am in the right ballpark with the yosh exhaust on.
