Crf250r Help Please!!!!!

Recommended Posts

I have been experiencing a little pop on decel and also the bike will not return to idle for a second or two after letting off the throttle. There is a stock 40 pilot jet in it and a 165 main??? This seems super rich compared to the 155 main it calls for. I am the second owner so I do not know why it has a 165 main in it. Bike is all stock. Alt is approx 500ft above sea level. I have also turned the pilot screw out approx 2.5 turns from when the bike starts to die. Please help. Thank you!

stock main jet for a 04 is 160.

you need to go to a 42 pilot jet.

He's right. I live in Virginia too. I just went through the whole jetting issue. I put everything back to stock and went from there. Start with the 42 pilot, screw in stock position, and 160 main. I ended up with the next richer pilot (45?), screw almost spot on stock, needle in stock position and 155 main (depending on temp I also keep a 160 main handy). She runs sooooo much better. A teeny bit rich down low, but the little Honda seems to like it that way.
