Dirtbiker05 Posted August 17, 2006 hey, my 02 yz250f has been a pain to start hot and cold. sometimes when its hot it'll start first kick but then the next time i end up bump starting it. usually when its cold i wont even bother the kickstart and just bump start it. i just put in a new spark plug, and it worked wicked for the first day. dont know yet if it fouling spark plugs. any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated. brutis1984 Posted August 17, 2006 1. Check your valve shim spacing. 2. Remove and disassemble carb, clean all jets and orifices with carb cleaner and compressed air. 3. Clean and oil air filter if not already clean. 4. Gap on plug is correct? If all these items are good then you may need some carb adjustments. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
