forks bottom with a loud clank

Recommended Posts

I took my forks to a local motorcycle shop to get the seals replaced and when i got them back i took the bike out and when i landed on the first jump it bottomed out with a loud noise like metal hitting metal. Should i just put more oil in it or what. Thanks in advance

Did you check the compression clicker setting, maybe it's adjusted all the way out to the softest setting

a friend of mine had the same problem as he changed the springs. I disassembled the forks and found washers (for more spring preload) that were not centered. the inner tube was hitting that washers one inch before travel stroke ends. it also made a loud noise like metal hitting metal...
