backfiring damage

what can get messed up if i rode my r for a while backfirng cuase of a split headpipe ?i check the valves and valve seats they looked fine but i think it messed up something in my carb cause now i got a serioud bog problem off idle

i would love to know how you checked your valve seats without pulling the head off and taking the valves out to look at them.

i don't really know what could happen, but why take the chance? you paid good money for your bike, so why take a chance on screwing it up? just fix the header dude.

did you perform a cylinder leak down test?

not trying to be mean but since your head is off take it somewhere reputable and have it checked ?
