Getting the dirt off of the plastic tank sides

Works great on the white plastic too.

This is gonna sound silly but it works get a sos pad and scrub the plastic with it the discoloration will leave. it's how i used to keep a solid white tank while going to Rampart. I was the designated tanker for us I had a XT-500 set up as a Tourque monster so we put a huge tank on it so I carried extra fuel so everyone could make a whole loop without buying gas that wassometimes lets say questionable.oldasdirt

PS. this is the same thing your mom used on her pots and pans. it works.

Engine degreaser or wd 40 followed by normal wash with simple green. Doesn't scratch and works great on the white plastic too!

Like i said, wash bike the brown stuff still there.

WD40 with clean rag, no problemo ?

A little mineral spirits on a rag does wonders as well.

My kicker has the decals removed.On the side of the tank where my legs rub there is "rubbed" in dirt that I can not seems to get off.It seems to give the tank a discolored look.Any suggestions???

I have white plastic sides with red clay stains that don't come out with normal washing. What I do is take a handful of the wifes laundry detergent make a paste out of it with water and rub the plastic with my hands.

Works pretty good except it may dull the plastic a little. Still makes them look great though.

Here in Western Oregon, we have the "Red Clay Mud from Hell" I've found HondaBrite cleaner works exellent...
