minor problem

Recommended Posts

My stator wire pulled away from the crank case last night while i was cleaning my bike. The only reason i knew it happened was i heard a hiss sound as air was comming out of the hole. It has only seperated slightly but i want to seal it back down before it pulls away completely. What would be the best thing to use to re-seal it to the case? I tried crazy glue but that didn't work for anything, the wire is too stiff and the glue doesn't hold it down.

Silicone, it's what they use on it in the first place.

Yup, sometimes after a little trial and error you hit it right. I used some black silicone sealent/adheasive and it seems to be the ticket. I'm going to let it set til this evening and maybe throw another coat in the gap if needed.
