Recommended Posts

Just wondering but Ive been riding for about 1 1/2 years on the same trail system....Not that its boring or anything, but id like to see another trail system and id like to try out jumping my new bike for shits and giggles on a MX track to see how it does.

Try Allegheny National Forest trails: http://www.fs.fed.us/r9/forests/allegheny/recreation/atv_trails/

Majestic Trails: http://www.majestictrails.com/

And although I do not really like to spread the word about this little known paradise, you can rent a whole 116 acre property for the week / weekend: http://www.hilltoplodge.com/

I am just getting into riding and live in the Greensburg area. Maybe we can meet up and hit some trails some time. Enjoy!

One more worth mentioning...Mountain Ridge Trails Resort:

Granted, I have never ridden any of these trails. Hell, I just bought my first bike last night. Just gotta do a little research to find these places. You can also talk to local shops about where to ride. They will be glad to help.

High voltage MX. 3-hr practice every Tues.

Pretty much every time I've been there Brock Hepler Team Suzuki it on track all night puting on a how to ride seminar.

1 hr from PGH

Do try the Allegheny Nat forest. They are the best legal trails in PA. Probably 75 mi worth.

What about stuff around Blairsville/Indiana? I'll be going to school and living in that area and may take my bike with me if there are good tracks with decent prices.

Hey Veccster, I live in Irwin. What kind of bike do you have and what kind of riding do you do??

Venom, try the Fayette Mountains out by Connelsville, might be a drive for you but it is definetly worth it.

2005 CRF250R - Trails, woods, slate dumps, fields...whatever I can find. I have never been on a track but look forward to my first chance. We are going out to the Bovard Slate Dumps by Twin Lakes tomorrow (friday) and headed out to Mountain Ridge Trail system in Somerset on Sunday. I ride with my 14 yr old nephew (yz 85). You are welcome to meet up with us and come riding this weekend. I'm still getting the hang of my bike (my nephew runs circles around me) but I'm catching on pretty quickly.

We actually live near the Lowes in GBG (on the Irwin side of town).
