GasGas 450FSE Valve Adjustment

Recommended Posts

I have searched for the method of checking/adjusting the valves on an '05 450FSE and have not found what I need. Everyone talks about the service manuals on the GasGas Motos site but I cannot find them. The manual that come up has nothing about the valves. Can anyone help me?

Hi Cadoo. Go to www.gasgasmotos.es/web/eng/frame.htm

Then they'll walk u thru the rest. I would really like to have a good shop manual in my hands while I'm working on my bikes. 'Cause I'm always having to refer back etc. with my limited experience. Maybe in the future?

My '05 fse450 was just about to have the three month warranty run out so I had the local shop check my valves, spark plug, fan and reroute my throttle cable so I could raise my bars higher. Valves were spot on. Only had about 450 miles on it. Good luck. Bob

Cladoo,

Have you tried the tech section at GasGas Atlantic? They have FSE manuals for several model years. By the way, the files are typically WinZip format so you need to unzip them to open properly.

EDIT:

Cladoo, you will be happy to know that a 2004/2005 workshop manual is available from the Corporate GasGas site. The engine teardown/rebuild and valve adjustments are shown.

Here is the link:

By the way, the GasGas Rider's Club has just added a special forum for the FSE450. You will get good support in that forum due to the visibility of all the sponsoring dealers.
