I wouldn't mess with revalving the suspension as I have been very impressed with the stock forks, but maybe that's just me. Not sure that the Boysen pump cover is worth the cost either.

Make that 2 Dunlop 803s or 2 Mitas ET-01's (DOT). Seriously - careful of the stock rear tire, it even broke loose with the te250.

The Mitas works great on mine,altho on a near vertical desent I had a big off,anyone have rear brake dramas with them,probably rider error.

I'm still running the stock Enduro Competition tires on my 2004 TE250... Are these the tires you're talking about breaking loose? What kind of conditions did you have trouble with?

Those tires are Eco-tires with lugs that don't dig very deep. Compared to just about any other brand new tire they leave a little to be desired. However, I would much rather have that tire new than a "better" tire with 500 miles on it, trials not included.

Although the stock tire isn't the best, I think it is blown out of proportion a little bit.

Yes but if you are happy with it don't worry about it at all. Did not work for me on hard pack or street but could been my lack of technique. And it was rear tire, front is just fine.

Mine is a 2006 TE250 since someone asked.

Std front is still on my 250 and its ok,just replaced the std rear with a Mitas Radial trials tyre and its great but i had a problem with the rear brake on steep descents.

When I replace the rear I'll replace the front! I hate both ends stock but gonna wear em out before I replace them. I have issues with the rear every time I ride except on pavement. Wash outs, swapping, lose traction up hill. You name it. Think I'll try those D952's.
