if I remove the steering head can I realign the two? like a bicycle?
Loosen the triple clamps twist them back.
This happens to me every once and a while. It's the forks that are actually twisted in the clamps.
justgive it a good kick
works every time
Most times you do not need to loosen anything. Your forks are just "twisted"
You can sometimes just hold the front wheel between your legs and twist the bars to straighten them back up. If that doesn't work, put the front wheel against an immovable object like the wheel of your truck or edge of the garage door.
If you have taken a big spill and have twisted them severely, you may need to loosen stuff up.
Good luck and ride safely.
the forks don't twist in the triple clamps. the inner fork leg twists in the outer fork leg.
kick the front wheel in the direction you want it to go. it'll take some fine tuning but you'll get it straight.
i had to get infront of the bike and hold the tire with my legs and then give the handlebars a good pull to line it up
