Tri-metal sprockets

Recommended Posts

tryed to buy one on evilbay but seller backed out.

evil-bay. LOL! so true. although, if you can get one from there you can save big, sometimes.

i only see two metals, the gold-ish part, aluminum, and the teeth, steel. where is the third? don't tell me it's the screws.

A friend that runs a moto tour company tried them and said they wore out just as fast as any other. They're supposed to last a lot longer, and for the price I think they better. He was not impressed. And yes, they look very kool.

I had it on my old KX. I wore it out in two years. It's not much lighter than steel and before Sidewinder started carrying them they where cheap. Sprocket Specialist carry them before Sidewinder. I would not buy it again.

The third metal is titanium rivets that hold the steel and aluminum together.

I have heard that they have had quality control issues with them in the past. Not sure what they were but the guy who sold them and recommended I go somewhere else to buy a certain brand sprockets because the place he was working for didn't sell them.
