FCR not-a-jetting question

Has anyone removed the hotstart from their FCR-MX? If so, how do you plug the hole? I bought a used one off of ebay and it works great but the hotstart knob prevents the installation of my Clarke 3.9 tank. Hopefully someone has some experience with this and will bless me with their knowledge, as hours of searching threads has not enlightened me. (I would insert the "not worthy" icon here but I'm such a noob that I don't know how!)

you have to leave the plunger in the bore.

Hot-start is just a controlled air leak. Anything that will seal the hole will work. I'm not sure how the hot-start is set up on you carb so I have no specific suggestions. Maybe you can just cut he pull knob off.
