cool DRZ heat sheilds

I made a mold of the stock piece and made one of Carbon Fiber. It wasn't that hard and it looks pretty great. I pulled the heat shield tape from the inside of the stock one on glued it into the CF piece with no problems.

Max, good idea, pic would be good if you can post it later.

What weight cloth did you use? Did you have any problems getting the CF into the little radius around the mounting hole rebate?

Cost was $80...Has been on my bike for more than 2 years now...This is a perfect example of where CarbonFiber does a good job...A place that doesn't get impacted often like a skid plate..
