No deal at all. MSRP is $6000. If the bike is in the box you need to assemble the bike and other misc. stuff. Most dealers charge between $300-$400 for this. Then add in the tax and your pretty much at MSRP. You should call them back and ask for an "out the door" price.

I would take it in the crate, so you can lube the suspension right away and you get a chance to check to ensure all the bolts are tight. $5K and no more.

That's good advice. If you're confident in your abilities (basic mechanic skills), why would you want some idiot at the shop to do it?

I have a Freind that wants to sell his 05'RM 250 w/ about $1500 in extras w/ only 9 hours on it for $4200 stock tires not a scratch. Scared the sh**t out of him

I still don't think it is a "deal". It's not a bad price, but deal, no. I bought my 2006 yz250 in December 2005 out the door set up and including tax $5800 and change. Now that is a deal. If you don't have to have a new bike this sounds like a deal

depending on shipping. Good luck, keep looking or talk them down.

I would have to see this to believe it. MSRP is $7000, if this is true you should buy some and sell them for $6500
