Recommended Posts

As the title says, i just can't figure out what shim size i need, i'm just gettin so confused

Anyways my left intake valve clearance is .076mm, and i'm shooting for the .127mm range

the shim that is in my bike now is a 302(3.02mm?)

Now what shim size will i need, i used the shim calculator that NoFearOakley48 gave in his shimming valve thread and it said that i needed a 301.949???

Subtract the current clearance from the desired clearance and subtract that from the shim size.

Desired clearance : .127

Actual clearance : .076

-----------------------------

.051mm

Current shim size: 3.025mm

- .051

----------------------------

Needed shim 2.515mm
