JD kit question

Recommended Posts

I have an 05 CRF 450R with a full yosh exaust on other mods. I live at about 400 feet of elevation. My question with the JD kit is it says the red needle is for high elevation hot temperatues and the blue is for low elevations cool temperatures. The kit says to put red needle on the 5th clip for standard intstallation. So being at a lower elevtion do I use the low elevation, blue needle, on the 5th clip instead? Do I still use the red needle? Or do I use the blue needle on a different clip position. I currently have the 175 main that it said to put in installed and the feul screw at 1 3/4 turns out.

confused me too.

I used to live the skier's life in Vail and to me high elevation and cooler temps go together as do lower elevations and higher temps. Guess If you live in MN in the fall, then the JD speak would work

I live @ 400ft in hot as hell tuscaloosa, al and the red needle 5th position works well on my husky, bumped up to 6th when the temps were over 100
