RM forks on a DR650?

Recommended Posts

I'd like to build a DR650 supermoto and I've found lots of great info on this site, but I still a few quick questions. First, I've read that RM250 forks will fit into the DR650 triples, giving me a bolt on ajustable USD fork; is this true? Second, if this mod does work, will the Motomaster 320MM brake kit work on the RM250 fork (I'd use the RM hub, etc)? Any input is appreciated.

Theres no way the USD rm250 forks would fit the stock dr650 triples, the forks are simple way too big at the mounting area. Even if they did fit the extra rigidity gained from the USD swap would be lost on the pathetic stock clamps. Your better off getting the complete forks and triple clamps and working out the stem issues.

Iv'e done an USD swap, have a look in the "most pimped dr650" tread.

Cheers,

Dylan

Thanks for the response. I knew it sounded to good to be true. I'll be sure to get the triples too, if I go through with this.
