is the orleans arena and hotel/casino all together? i was gonna try and make resorvations and didn't want to have to walk to far.

I would recommend staying there at the Orleans. It is right next to the race.

Ditto. Stay at the Orleans which has a discount rate if you mention Endurocross.

The Orleans is sweet. Off the strip though and a bit far to walk.

Last year it took forever to get a cab back to the strip after the races(stayed at Ballys) the Orleans seemed like a sweet place (with it's own liquor store inside!)

We're staying at a different hotel (off strip) because my buddy is using some of his miles and the room will be free.

If it were me (and just going for the races) I'd stay there

The line to get a cab was HUGE last year, but at least we got to see a fender bender involving a Ferrari. Doh!

If anyone is taking bikes and wants to ride with us on Friday and Saturday, let me know. There's 4 of us going down together.

Staying at the Orleans.

Last year we took the RV and stayed at Circus CirCus RV Park. Luckily a friend had a rental car. Otherwise it would have been a pain to get back to the strip.

We took a bus back to the strip...just walk out across the Parking Lot to the Bust Stop...You can also bring your beers on the bus.

I'm a cheapskate. Best deal nearby I could find is Palace Station Hotel and Casino, 2411 Sahara, about 4 miles from Orleans, $58/night. I hope the place isn't crappy but I don't really care. I'll spend the difference on a cheap rental car so I can get around & do stuff like go hiking out at Redrock Canyon Saturday morning. It's awesome.

Last year I stayed 30 min outside town at Whiskey Pete's for $45/night. Not convenient but saved me the $$ so I could do some other stuff.

No question that Orleans would be the most convenient, just too pricey for me.

3 couples driving in from SoCal. Thursday night on the way in staying at Nevada Landing. $19.00 per room. Stayed there one night back in June. Large clean rooms. Then we will stay Arizona Charlie's Boulder for $45.00 per room Friday and Saturday.

Look up vegas on map quest. Gold coast is at Valley View and Flamingo, Orleans is at Arville and Tropicana. Good news is that the G/C is across the street from the Palms (good party place), bad news is that it is a couple miles from the orleans. On the other hand, the g/c might be having shuttle service for you guys, they do anyways, but maybe a few more for the event.

We got free rooms at Las Vegas Club but most likely at the Olympic Garden$. Should be a blast. It will be a late night for us....
