Fuel switch

Recommended Posts

If the bike is going to be sitting for a few days or a week should the fuel switch be left in the on position? I never thought about it, but in another thread someing eluded to it being bad to do so. Thanks.

What model do you have. If its the S or SM its actually a Vacuum operated valve so it shuts itself off every time the bike shuts off. If its any other version it would probably be a good idea to turn it off.

You'll be fine.

On the S and the SM, you can even pull the fuel line right off, and no fuel will flow, with the petcock set to the 'on' position.

What else would you leave it in? Doesn't the cv carb only have on-prime-reserve?
