I love my XR250

Recommended Posts

I race a 01 CR250R, and i love it, however, i picked up a 1999 XR250, for a play bike and two ride with my girlfriend and i've gotta say it is an awesome bike to ride, total blast to be on!

So far, its had the header pipes opened up, stock exhaust otherwise with just a XR400 tip in it, twin air filter and cage, de-snorkled, re-jetted, protapers, Enduro Engineering handgaurds, protapers, and suspension resprung and set up for me

Welcome to ThumperTalk!

Thats a pretty sweet vid you got there!! :ride:

Yup, Nothing new to me, XR's are reliable, tourquey, easy and comfortable to ride....etc.

I came off a 2000 RM125 and I have no desires to get anything like that again, unless I start racing and the XR isn't cutting it. Sounds like you've got the XR set up quite nicely, with some tasteful mods.

Besure and post some pics of her when you get a chance

Again, welcome to TT :applause:

Yea, they're great bikes... more torque then a WR250 and a few thousands RPM's sooner... well... i admit the bikes were tested on diffrent days and probably on diffrent dynos... but I have seen numbers where the XR beats them.

^hope the pics work... i'm kinda learning this as i go... as for hosting pics and video, so far using www.putfile.com has been pretty easy, just make an account (like two seconds to do, and free~!) and then upload... that said the video was the first file i'd done with so far...

thanks for the kind words, i'll admit to being a lurker for sometime now, reading up on the technical posts and such, mostly because i am an information junky...

I would love to put an ALOOP kit on my bike, or even possibly just a stock red tank... (or dreaming as such the japanese tank and shrouds/seat combo!!) but right now i'd be happy to just locate some good looking tank graphics that aren't insanely priced..

edit: pics turned out tiny, try these
