Drz carb problem

Recommended Posts

i went to adjust my fuel screw today and i discovered it was epoxyied in place . i installed a exhaust and went to a shop to get the carb done and now it looks like they damaged the carb when they put the screw in and they epoxyied it so it wouldn't leak or fall out

do u think they should be responsible for the damage?

there is no point of having the screw if the carb is damaged and u cant even use it

i also checked the microfiche and it seems u have to buy the carb assembly to fix the problem . costs 357 US

im going to bring it in monday to see what they say, i had it in there like the first week of august and i didnt notice the carb was damaged around the hole. i did see the glue but thought it was silicone to stop the screw from working its way out. i could find a used stock carb easy with everyone going with the fcr...

LOL, almost everybody here will sell you one cheap. Make a offer, include shipping and I bet you will get fifty takers!

I am sure the dealership will weasel out being the amount of time that has passed although, they could be a stand up place and take care of the customer that pays their bills, so you never know. However.... If they are so inept to do that kind of damage, I am not sure I would want them to touch my bike.
