Standard setting for front fork pre-load..

Recommended Posts

My 2003 DRZ-S manual says to adjust my front fork pre load adjuster out to the "third groove" for standard setting. Trouble is, I dont have that type of adjuster on my '03 DRZ-S.

It is the "click" adjuster type. Located at the top of the forks at the handlebars.

Anyone know the number of clicks out for the standard front fork pre load in "clicks" out from bottom?

Set my compression damping to 7 clicks out on the bottom of the forks.

( I weigh 175lbs)

I guess they call it the compression damping adjuster on the top of the forks.

My manual does not give the number of clicks out from "hard" or the fully seated position that is the "standard" setting.

Gives 7 clicks out for the bottom adjuster on the forks.

Compression adjuster is at the bottom of the fork leg, set at 13 clicks from fully seated.

Rebound adjustment is at the top of the fork-leg, 16 clicks out from fully seated.

fully seated is the maximum setting for both.

Neil. :thumbsup::ride::applause:

Edit: Looks like there are different specs for US and UK models, the specs I gave came from a 2004 owners book.
