250R silencer with Pro Moto Billet Cap?????

Recommended Posts

Of the guys out there running a 250R silencer is anyone using the Pro Moto Billet end cap with spark arrestor and silent insert????

I have an extra R type silencer and can retro fit it cheaper than buying an FMF Q silencer.

Any Ideas out there????

I have one on my X it works great IMO. Not to loud and not to quiet. And to be quieter, the silencer does the job.

Is there different ones? Well I thought there was only one kind with all the holes.

Heres the kind I have/use

I don't notice much power difference. I can feel that the motor doesnt want to wind out as much with it.(I dont like to have it in). But it does quiet the bike down enough to pass 96db.

My bad, The 94 and 96 db inserts are for the 06 model year.

Maybe they will retrofit??????

Have to call PMB and see.

I was tested @ 94.5. With the silent insert in you gain low end but lose some top end. I like the insert in at all times because we ride tight trails and very few open areas.

Fred,

Do you have a pic of your insert. Who makes it?

Thanks

I think I'm going to try the Pro Moto end cap and insert with the 250R exhaust I have. It's less expensive than another silencer and probably will perform jsut as well.

Here in TN it's mostly tight woods anyway. Don't need big HP!!
