Carb fuel screw.

Recommended Posts

On 450 EXC's what are you guys using to adjust the stock fuel screw on bottom?

Or are you just replacing it with the aftermarket ones?

Thanks

I like the ability to adjust it anywhere and anytime without carrying a tool, so I bought a Slavens fuel screw.

There must be a dozen brands, Slaven, Kouba, Scotts, KTM hard parts all being excellent brass pieces. Avoid the aluminum ones, they are too soft and the the tip de-forms when you run them in against the seat.

I am running the Scott's Fuel Screw. It works great. The Slavens and Kouba are similar to the Scott's, all made of brass.

Thanks, I'll check on the brass ones.

I do have a ZipTy aluminum type in my WR but like the idea of brass for hardness against deforming.

thanks

My Slavens is not made of brass, maybe it's titanium.
