Think this tire will fit my 150?

Recommended Posts

Don't really have the money to invest in new 17" rims, and street tires at the moment, and a friend found a old 16" tire laying around his garage..

Stock tire size is 90/100-16

My friend just gave me a free 130/70-16

Think it'l fit?

I know it'l be pinched being on such a small rim, but maybe it'l work?

Need somthing better then this knobbie, I think the knobbie is causing me to be a little sketchy on my wheelies

Also heres a pic showing the tire next to the stock tire

It's gonna be flat. Thats for damn sure. It's not gonna handle very well. Avon has tons of tire sizes. Check them out. A 100/70-16 would be perfect.

I"ve got a dunlop gt501 110/90/19 front tire on the rear of my 150. You should not have any clearance problems as far as your swingarm and chain are concerned, but you will need to remove the rimlock. it will "pinch" the bead of the tire and not let it expand all the way, leaving you with a "flat spot". You will also want to run around 25 psi or more to make sure the tire doesn't spin on the rim since the rimlock is removed. You will also have a lot of unused rubber..."chickenstrips" on the sides since the tire is designed for a much wider rim.
