1999 620SC Water in Oil

Recommended Posts

I have had my KTM 620SC for a few months now and it generally goes well. However on the weekend it left me stranded when it died by having water in the oil. Is this a common problem and would it be a simialr fault to a car where the head gasket has failed? So far I have pulled the carby off and cleaned it and sprayed some lubricant in the cyclinder etc and drain the offending goop. Any hints and experience would be appreciated.

The most likely fault for an LC4 is that the water pump seal has failed. For a detailed guide to rebuild your water pump... look here.
