low RPMs

Recommended Posts

I have a 04 RM250 and love it. great power and handling. However, I do a lot of riding with a slower crowd, and find myself in low rpm range- not bogging, but not quite up in the power band either. Will this hurt the engine?

u may get some spooge from the silencer from unburnt fuel/oil mixuture.also the power valve may get a little bit clogged with spooge. but over all i dont think thier will be any actuall damage persay. just might go thru more plugs, silencer packing.

although when i started riding i was on alot of slow trails and also i was inexperienced so i was slow any way and my bike was never damaged mechanically couse of it.

just find an open area to ride and really get on the pipe every once and a while to clean things out.

thanks. I do get it opened up when I lead or let enough space between me and the guy in front. I guess Im getting it cleared ok cause it hasnt fouled a plug in the 8 months Ive had it.
