routing hydraulic clutch cable

Recommended Posts

i just put a magura hydraulic clutch on my 2000 kx500. i routed it the same way as original cable. it says to be sure u don't come in contact with pipe, or anything that could burn it....duh.it can only be routed two ways...on the outside of a coolant line(where it would be subject to major damage)..or between the coolant line and the engine(maybe an 1" or 1.5" gap)..as long as the cable doesn't come in contact with the engine, should it be ok? any help is appreciated...don't want to f-up my 200$ clutch cable

you could always wrap the cable in exhaust wrap, keeping it prtected then wraping it in elecrtical tape
