Fork Seal question

I was going to post this in the other forum but you guys are my friends so I figured you would help me..I parted out an XL250 and am restoring the parts that didnt sell I have the forks and am replacing the seals they are standard style can anyone tell me how to totally removed the fork seal I popped the rubber cap cover thingy off but cant get the seal out..thanks in advance guys!

After the dust cover is off there should be a little snap ring inside there. remove that little unit then the legs should slide apart and use a little bit of force seperating them. then its just a matter of disassembly and replacing the seal. be sure to give the seal a little dab of grease while puttin it on.

take the cap off of the fork, remove the spring, then undo that bolt on the bottom of the fork, do what Thor 386 said, and pop the upper tube from the inner tube, it should come apart with a little force
