Recommended Posts

Has anyone converted a wr 250 for d/s, I was curious how the five speed tranny holds up. Thanks.

There is no rubber in the hub, cush or crush drive, so the trany is short lived on any paved surface.

The biggest issue I've heard of with the WR's is that the crankcase vent tube is in a dumb spot, so if you get stuck in a deep water/mud hole, it can suck a bunch of crap into the motor/tranny.

I converted my YZ426 to street last year, it was great. Never had any issues with the tranny from riding pavement. Just don't slam the gears hard and it will be fine.

Where and what did you have to put on to be road legal in ontario.

In Ontario you need:

Headlight

Taillight

Horn(bicycle will work)

At least 1 mirror

DOT tires

And a Mechanic to write a safety.

The rest of the stuff is optional.
