I have a kx85 carb question.....

Recommended Posts

As my son was riding today the bike had shut off. 2001 KX85 It was a throttle cable problem. I thought it had broke so I took off the carb and took the top apart and come to find out that the cable end came out of the slide. The cable is not broke. I started to put it back together and wanted to ask if the needle is supposed to float or be attached to something? It looks as if the needle stays inside the spring. It looks pretty tricky inside and I just don't want to assemble it wrong. Thanks for your time!

i know there is something called a v clip which keeps the engine at idle and if you put the throttle together wrong it will be stuck on high revs
