Decals

Got new shroud decals, any tips on putting them on without any air bubbles or hassles?

Go slow and use a hairdryer to get them pliable. Transworld did an article on this very thing a few months back. See if you can dig it up on their website...SC

Thanks for the info, going to check it out.

1. Mix 2 parts water, 1 part alcohol and a few drops of dish soap in a spray bottle.

2. Clean the surface real well and then spray it and the sticky side of the graphics liberally with the mixture. This will allow you to easily position the graphics.

3. Once you have them where you want them, carefully start squeegeeing from the center toward the edges while using the hair dryer to dry it out and to help mold the graphics around difficult areas.

It's really pretty easy. Don't be shy with the spray, either. The hair dryer will dry it out and it gives you more time to position the graphics.

Eish, thanks, what would we do without TT & their members.

So the soap does not affect the glue on the sticky side?

Nope (unless it's a good affect).

If you cross your fingers and hold your breath, the search feature might work. There you will find the corroborating information.

bg10459, followed your instructions, excellent, thanks a mil, never realised it was that easy, they're on.

Just leave them a bit longer than normal to adhere properly.

bg10459's way is the way I have done it for years and is definately the easiest / best way for graphics.
