Unlike most of everyone here, i took my old plastics off which were full of graphics and what not & went with a simpler approach. My 07.

Just picked up my 2006 YZ450F with a fresh rebuild. I have the dirt set-up in the garage but the supermoto gear is installed right now. Modification includes FMF Fat Boy, Pro Taper fat bars, Excel front and rear wheels wrapped in Bridgestone Battlax 120 front 150 rear. Running lean with a lot of back-firing right now but plan on tinkering with the mixture soon. Head light and tail light brands are unknown!

So far so good, it's a big change from my Buell 1125R but I'm having so much more fun on it.

Found a 09' in the warehouse at one of the dealerships that I service. Bike had 10 minutes on it. Quite a score.

Picked up this very clean 2006 last month. This is my first modern bike. Last one was a 1978 TT500 that was a mess. I have a YZF450 quad so I am familiar with this engine. So far I have focused on maintenance only: valve adjust, clean carb & jetting, chain & sprocket, grips, bar pad, etc.. Once I get some riding time I will decide if it needs more!

My 2007 YZ450F White Ltd Ed, all shined up, and all dirty after a good weekend riding with the gf on her CRF-150F!

She's my first 450, so far I'm in love! Oodles more power than my previous 250F, I'm very happy with it.

My 06 that was purposely purchased as an investment to be resold after a freshening up. Since then I have fallen in love with it and decided to sell my Ktm instead. Still some upgrades left to do, wheels and exhaust but this things a blast to ride. Can't believe how nimble it feels for a fatty 450

My new to me aka deal too good to pass up 07 YZ450F, it belonged to a local racer, traded to a tattoo artists as payment, sold for cheap to me. My last bike (WR 456) was stolen so this will make a nice replacement. Already has a ProTaper bars and FMF Q2 pipe. Only plans are a sprocket change and weighted flywheel to smooth it out on the trails in the mountains.

This is the last round of upgrades for my 06, now time to get it dirty. Swapped to a street titled WR frame, WR fuel tank, full fmf, tires and wheels, and Protune did the suspension. This thing is ready for battle

I'm looking into buying some extra wheels to just swap out when I take my DRZ 400 out to the dirt. They have the stock wheels on it now but have 70% street 30% dirt tires on it right now that just won't cut it out in the dirt. I found some 1982 IT 250 DID from Yamaha but I'm not sure if they'll fit right on or what kind of modifications I would have to make to get it on there. Thanks for help guys!

I have never ridden 2t dirt-bike , i start my dirt bike adventure this year with a 4t yz450 and i love this sport. now am interested to test 2t cross and want to use it for enduro and MX. are this bikes ( yz250) good for both enduro and MX use !? i heard that yz250 is the same from 2006 up to 2016 and have no change . what about honda cr250r !? which year and model of this two brand worth owning !?

      Hey guys,
Im looking to buy a new Yamaha 2 stroke within the next couple weeks but i cant decide whether i would be happier with the 2018 yz 250 or the 2018 yz250x. Heres my riding background. Ive been riding for 15 years, I raced in the A class for 5 years until money got tight and i gave up racing all together. Since i then I realized how much fun single track riding is and just free riding with the buddies. I still occasionally ride tracks but about 80% of my riding is trails. I live in Michigan and if you have ever ridden in Michigan then you know the trails can get as rough as a motocross track. My local trails have sand whoops that i would compare to
      REDD-BUUUDDDS sand whoops.
Ive never owned a "trail" bike ive always taken my race bikes and made them into "trail" bikes. My last bike being a Yz125.
That being said i know all the mechanical and technical differences between the 2 bikes. Im a bit worried that the 250x just wont have the racey feel when im riding. Im also worried then when i do take it to the track the suspension will be a bit soft and the mellow hitting powerband will not allow me to seat bounce the big whoops. But now the standard yz250 might not have enough low end to help me skate through wet black slick dirt and the suspension might be a little to "non responsive" per say in studder bumps. Can you guys give me any sort of guidance.
If you would like to check out my riding style on YouTube check out : "Yz125 2 stroke Shredding Michigan Enduro Trails."
      Thanks Guys
