crf450r oil transfer

Is anyone else discovered this problem?

I own a motorcycle shop and have noticed this problem on a few different 450

I raced the 2002 CRF450 in a 2 hour HS event and it transferred 350cc from the Tranny side over to the engine side.

I replaced the right crank seal and that helped for awhile. Then I changed the blancer shaft seal...which seem to last for one ride.

Called Honda, and they acted surprised!

I have heard two things: One, running extra oil (a full quart seems to be real common) so you don't toast 3rd gear, creates extra pressure and that is hard on the seals. Other is pressure on the sprocket, because of a to tight chain.
I've been running an extra 100cc lately (695cc) but I think a full quart (~946cc) is pushing it.
