07 RMZ 450 rear fender

I love my new 07 450. i have 7 hours on it. the only thing i dont like is the damn rear fender is crooked. it must be the way it was shipped but whatever. is anyone elses fender fudged up?

I have had the 05' and 06' and both came with crooked fenders...go figure!

My '05 has a crooked fender, my son's '05 has a straight one. It will never 'go straight' on its own. Maybe you can complain to your dealer and see if he'll get you a new one to install.

Yep...another '06 with a crooked rear...Weird how widespread something like this can be. Had the same issue with my XR650R rear...

The rear fender is crooked from placing your right hand under the edge of the fender to lift or move the bike.

Could be the reason, but doubtful. I've never lifted mine that way and it was crooked from day one!

My guess is that something, when packing these up in the crate, was hitting the fender and bending it down on one side and it took a 'set' in that position after being in the crate for a while.

my 07 is very sweet. im coming off a 06 crf 450 and the suz is way smoother. i love it. plus it looks bad ass

Mine dresses straight, but an 05 that was right next to mine dressed a little to the left. Really, same shipment, but some guy bought the other one with the fender hanging a little to the left.

My 2005 is not crooked.

I wonder is you could heat the plastic and move it around?

Yes, I have a 2005 RM-Z 450 and my fender is crooked. What I found is when I remove the subframe during servicing, when I re-install the subframe the fender is straight. Then usually a half hour or so into the next ride the fender is crooked again. I figure the sub frame is settling a bit. Weird.....

I purchased a brand new rear fender and it was still crooked. I don't think its the plastic at all.
