Clarke Tank modification

I recently installed the 3.2gl Clarke tank on my 04 450MXC and realized that if the gas gets below the frame line I am going to have to dump the bike over to get gas in the other side of the tank where the fuel valve is.

Has anyone done a modification to fix this by connecting the 2 sides with a rubber hose or something similar.

I don't want to make a hole in the tank and find out there was something I forgot to figure in.

It's not really a problem unless you like to run it dry. I've only had to stop and lean the bike over one time. Do you normally ride 100 plus miles before refilling?

I have the genuine KTM 13l tank, and i have run it dry a few times and have not once had to lean it over. Normal riding will allow it to flow to the other side, but maybe not on the road.

I only have 2 rides on the new tank and haven't even came close to emptying it but didnt want to have to stop in the middle of a ride in mexico to dump the bike over.

If I can avoid it with a 15min fix why not!

I like to consider the little bit of gas left on the right as a second reserve, that is provided you have a reserve on you petcock. If I get to a point where I'm using that double reserve gas then my priority would be to seek gas immediately not "continuing the ride".
