Spare wheels / rims for 06 YZ250

Recommended Posts

I'd like to get a spare set of wheels for my new 06 YZ250. That way I'll either have a practice set, or studded set in the winter. Could anyone tell me what will all fit. In that I mean will they fit from a 450, 426, older 250, etc... And what years? I'll probably be looking on Ebay so I need to know. Thanks for any help!!!

I believe Yamaha's wheels are the same for YZ 125 through YZ 450. The Yz 250 and 450 have a 2.15 rear rim vs. 1.85 on YZ 125 and YZ 250F. We have YZ 125's, YZ 250F's and YZ 250 and the wheels all interchange.

I have 2 sets wheels that would sell.

1. Excel Billit hubs with excel rims and spline drive spokes. Gold hubs with black rims with brake rotors. $650.00 plus shipping.

2. Rad Billit Hex Hubs with excel rims and Buchanan spokes. Blue hubs with black rims with brake rotors. $600.00 plus shipping.

In 99 the rear axle was enlarged so 99 and up on the rear. Remember though that your 250 2-stroke requires a stocker from another 250 2-stroke or a 400/426/450. The 250f and 125 use a smaller rim and tire. The front hub has been the same since before 2000 but the brake rotor was enlarged in either 02 or 03 so for a complete bolt on front wheel you need one of these or newer and any size bike 125-450 is the same. Wheel spacers are also the same since before 2000. I have a set for sale on ebay right now but the back is too narrow for your tire. PM me for my thumpertalk member price.
