Is this carb the same one that thumpertalk sells part# 42-6105? The xrs only one is 350 bucks and the thumpertalk one is only $174?

Thanks,

Drew

And it for a 03 xr400

Hey Drew,

I thought the same thing before I bought mine from XR's Only. Over $400.00 with CA tax and shipping is tough to take.

The XR's Only kit has custom made alum spacers epoxied on tho the Mikuni to allow it to mount to the stock XR intake and air cleaner boots. The XR's Only kit also come with new longer throttle cables. The last thing the XR's kit come pre jetted for your mods and altitude.

It is well worth the money.......

Bottomline... if it's +/- $200 it's the non-pumper, if it's +/- $400 it's the pumper.

I have the non-pumper Mikuni from XRs Only on my older XR250L. The XR's kit is nice. I only had one issue that proved to be no big deal... the nipple on the end of the throttle cable would not fit through the ferrul at the top of the carb. Reemed out the ferrul just a bit and it fits.

As was posted, the non-pumper carbs and 2-stroke carbs are about 1/2 price of a 4-stroke pumper carb.

Tuning the pumper carb can be a pain. In addition to the pilot jet, needle, main jet, air jet; there are the "pumper squirt" settings.

Who ever you buy from, make sure you are getting a pumper set up for your XR. Almost everyone who has an XR's pumper has bolted it on and gone riding.
