What's the best tool for honing?

I will do the top end soon and I have the possibility to buy a multiple petal honing tool (I don't know what's the real name ) with an 400 grit abrasive surface:

So I was wondering if it was the best tool to hone my cylinder or if the ball hone is a better idea (didn't find a place to buy it).?

Wiseco Nylon Brush Hone is the ideal if you want to pay that much.They are $120.00 here in the UK

2nd option is a 320 grit 3 inch Ball Hone.E-Bay has loads of them and I had one shipped to England from the states for $54.00

Do a search on Hone and you will read for hours.

It worked great, I wish they sent me a size smaller though. It was tight.

i have that one pictured but didn't trust myself enough to use it on my bike, but i did use it on a scooter cylinder and came it out fine. I ended up just taking mine to a shop

For which bike? The 250 size is 76-89mm.

They sent me the wrong one and I'm supposed to be getting the correct size.

As mentioned the ball hone is all over Ebay and a good price...

the Brush hone is the very best way to go but the run around 65-80 wholesale.

I thought after reading your post the brush hones also came in different grit.

dad ordered one for the 250 pn# W6078 and one for the 450 pn# W6079.

The guy at Wisco said they should be here by Friday. Bikes are apart and waiting. Thanks.

Mark, that's the correct # for the 250 hone. IIRC they are 320 grit.

Same part #'s, W6078. It's tight for the bore, but Wiseco now tells me it's the correct size.
