Show off your Dual Sports!!!

Recommended Posts

 Dual Sport

I don't think I could have bikes without at least one of them being a dual sport! I love being able to jump from road to trail, then back on the road and head home, and being perfectly legal the whole time.

Most of the places I ride are within probably 8 miles of my house, and I'll hit up 3 or 4 of them in a day. I can't imagine having to load up the bike into my truck and drive 3 miles, then unload it and ride for half an hour, then load it back up and go to the next place. I can just ride there, play around for however long I want, ride to the next place, play around, ride to the next place, and play around. I love DS's.

Michael Lueders, your chain is on the wrong side on that KTM

Nice Husky. I want one for my next bike (my XR is gonna have to last a while for that to happen).

Now THAT is weird. I figured it was e-start only (since I didn't see a kick starter where it SHOULD be). I can't imagine kicking with my left leg.

At least they got the controls right...... I hope

It doesn't create much of problem...except when the starter clutch is out and you stall splitting freeway lanes during rush hour in California traffic!

I still have to jump off and kick with my right leg standing next to it.

Pucker factor 11!!

I love that bike..big huge silly grins everyride!!!

Some real nice bikes here!

Here's my 2003 KDX 220 dual sported. Best mod ever. I plan to have the KX stuffed with a 200 engine and dual sported by this summer. It's the only way to ride.

My bike.

Garrett Poucher and Skyler Howes of Garrett Offroad Racing are headed to Dakar!  These US privateers are headed there for their first times but Skyler is fresh off a victory at last week's Baja Rally, won the Sonora Rally in March and this team placed third in the Baja 1000.

They have a fundraising link set up and could use your help.
I raced with Garrett at Baja Rally last year and then both of them at Sonora and was honored to pit with them as well.  They're both super guys and work their assess off.  I think they both have good chances of not only finishing the 11 days of Dakar but placing well.
They're doing some rally training events this Sat, Oct 20 in Santa Clarita, CA and then another Oct 28th in St. George Utah so if you've ever considered learning rally raid navigation, this is your chance!  It's a lot of fun too.  More info on that at the link.

Looking to buy a used Beta 2017 500 RRS from outside California.  Can I plate (Register with CA DMV) the bike in CA?  If so what is the best way?  Don't have the money to put down for a new bike from a Dealer in CA.  Any help or sugguestions would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance.
