speedo condensation

Anyone have this problem. I have condensation built up in my DR650 speedo makes it hard to read sometimes. Anyone know how to remedy this.

This probably wont help in your case but when I started getting condinsation inside my trucks headlights lenses I used the smallest drill bit I could find and drilled a hole in the bottom inside corner to let the moisture out and Haven't had the problem since.....

When I was younger I had a pair of binoculars that got rained on all day while hunting. Condensation formed inside them. I finally got rid of it by putting them in the oven (electric) for an hour or so at 150 degrees. It will work your speedometer too.

Could a packet of Silica Gel or Polly Desiccant be placed inside the speedometer? Cameras and electronic gadgets come packed with those.

I forget we have members from outside the U.S.. We still have inch and pound as standard measures. When I was a kid in the 60's the school system told us that Metric was coming. Still waiting.

Just remove it, pull out the light and leave it somewhere warm and dry for a while.

lol dry. Thats funny. I live in Houston, TX. It's like 80% humidity 24/7.

find or call a ski-doo snowmobile dealer.... there was a kit a year or so ago designed to fix the problem in the sled speedos.. the special packets of moisture absorber and lens sealer would no doubt work on a dr speedo(if you find out how to get them in)
