It depends on how important a good start is to you. They do help, but do not mean that you will get the holeshot if you have one. I wouldn't say they are worth the 100 bucks they cost, check ebay and get one cheap.

How do those things work? Are they supposed to "help" keep the front tire on the ground?

They hold the front end down, thus transfering more weight to the front making it harder to wheelie. When you hit the brakes they automatically release.

i use the procircuit one b/c it came in the color red...haha...yea its worth it...it really does help prevent u from doing a wheelie off starts, but u also need good technique...

I use the pro-wheel holeshot hookup. It has two positions and works well. Nothing will guarantee a good start, if you alraedy start well it just takes wheelying off of your mind.

I got a procicuit one off a guy and I feel that it really helps me out, It was worth the 50$ cnd I spent on it. When I get my new bike I will put one on it.

check ebay... you can get an off brand one for like 30 or less

look for the tamer set up. something like $70 and has a double button set up so you can choose how far you want the forks compressed.

I got one on ebay with no installation instructions so how far down on the fork guard do you want to install the push button?

My hole shot device is my throttle hand and clutch hand:busted: Seriously though, I pull the holeshot in the majority of my races and I think the reason is because I'm almost touching the bar pad with the front of my helmet at the 5 second mark-weighting the front end. Plus I need the holeshot since I don't have a lot of practice time lately to get in shape.

I just made a homemade holeshot device the other day. Some might consider it redneck/cheesy but it was free. I'll try to get some pics tomorrow.
