Sell "as is" or part out?

I have a 2000 YZ426 that has a rattling sound coming from the left side of the engine. I don't really want to spend the money to have it diagnosed and/or fixed. The bike is otherwise in good shape. What's it worth? Any opinions?

Sounds like maybe the cam chain is loose? Would be a easy fix if that is what it is.

Wouldn't it be too bad if you gave the bike away for $1200 or so because the primary drive gear bolt had loosened and allowed the $.50 square key on the balancer gear to get beat up.

I bought a WR450 so I want to get rid of it. I don't have the time to fix it right now and I don't want to just let it sit and rot. If you guys are serious the first $1000 takes it.

thats kind of sad... your allowing your lack of ambition to fix a bike cost you thousands of dollars in a resale. it'll cost you less to store the bike for a number of years, than your about to throw away...

think about the parts you could buy for your WR with the extra $$$

It is sad. I love the bike. I just don't have the time to fix it right now so I'd like it to go to a good home rather than just sit there gathering dust.
