Its not surprising. He will be the first person to challenge Bubbles on a regular basis. At the SF supercross he had the 2nd fastest lap time all night, INCLUDING THE BIG BIKES. RV is definaltely fast.

I read in Dirt Rider about how they are all of course wearing transponders now. RV actually had the #1 fastest lap at some race in 06, faster than Bubba, Ricky, Chad...etc... As long as he doesnt jump up too soon he will be amazing. The best thing Stewart ever did was stay in 125's one more year.

yeah I saw villopoto riding at mini o's back in 2004 in b class, and I remember thinking "this kid's gonna be the next big thing". His lap times were faster than top A riders by about 2 seconds. Of course B class is almost always faster at a national amateur level.

Living somewhat close to Villopoto, I've seen him and Josh Hill battle it out on supermini's several times. It was always impressive to watch.

as much as we all want him to move up so we can see him and bubba battle it out (cus that would be freakin awesome) i think he should (and and hopefully will) stay in the 250f (lites is gay) class for one more year. i think it'll do him a lot good. too many riders have moved up and done horribly: langston 4 or 5 years ago when he moved up on a ktm 250<------may have been the problem...did pretty bad then moved back down and won a couple 250f titles, now hes doin fine on a 450. bubba's first year was awful (he also blamed the bike). ramsey's not doin too hot this year either (no excuses yet)...etc. one more year of domination on the 250f to further ready himself will be smart.
