Cheapest place online for Husky parts and accessories?

Recommended Posts

warning dumb questions coming.

RM why would you want cheap aftermarket parts on a $8000 dirt bike?

be advised you won't find Husky aftermarket parts in your local MC catalog with all the blue, yellow, green and orange parts

but if you slow down and ask specific add-on parts questions, or read the stickys above, the group here will lead you to the Web sites that have quality Husky add on parts - and no they ain't cheap, but they ain't a rip off niether

well my main things I want for riding around here (northern Jersey trails) which are really rocky and lots of roots, would be definately a GOOD THICK skidplate, and some good handguards, some of the trails are very tight and those tree branches sometimes smack the hell out of your hands..

Ok now your talking sense.

skid plates:

Uptite has the strongest but you have to remove it to change your oil. Rooster makes a nice one not as strong but works well, and you can change your oil with it on. ask the guys here for other options and links to the skidpate factory web pages or do a forum search for skid plate threads. that is how you buy after market parts for husky, get advise in here and go direct to the part web site like

www.roosterperformance.com

yeah I have seen those Cycra hand guards before on my friends enduro bikes, nice product. I am going to see how the stock handguards look first, then decide. But definately going to get a skidplate right away, I forget what the stealership was telling me the skidplate they had was, but they wanted like $125 for it. Do you really need any other plate protection for other areas on the bike? or just that one skid plate will do it?

the stealership was telling me...

A good dealer is a good dealer. Do you have a reason to think they are less than 100% with you? My dealer is fantastic, quite knowledgeable, and has great prices.

I have been getting stuff from the TT store also - which if anything the stuff shows up at my door before I'm ready for it.

yeah those brake disc guards are a very good idea and nice looking too... but do you have to remove the wheels to install the guards? that would be a pain in the butt..

Dude... taking off either wheel and installing a guard is about a 5 minute job.

Tools needed. Front 8mm to loosen pinch bolt and HSQ provided allen wrench.

Rear 27mm socket (or big cresent wrench) and a 10mm & 12mm wrench to adjust the chain after.

Use your torque wrench putting it back together. Those little 8mm strip easy.

We ran Rooster first after Uptite, because you can change the oil without removing the skid plate. Both good pans, but that made it easier at oil changing time (after each ride). Rooster makes great brake protection too as well as radiator guards and exhaust pipe guard. We race their products in Baja, a lot different than where you ride.

are these the Cycra hand guards that you are talking about here: http://shop.thumpertalk.com/catalogs/Parts_Unlimited_Offroad_2006/default.asp?p=559

Those are the one I am buying - actually it is the racer pack with the U-mount here:

http://store.cycraracing.com/prrapawiuclh.html

That particular package is not being sold through the standard distributors or TT store yet but I ordered them "special order" through the TT store.

Regardng the Cycra item at link, those are the ones I got. No problems w/ the install and they are super solid. I ordered the black cups to better match the '07 color scheme... Great product and worthy of our Huskys.

I've got the Pro Bends with the standard clamps. The U clamps weren't available but look awsome and might be just the answer to my crowded handlebars.

How bout pix when you get them Coffee ?
