DR400SM spacer to eliminate speedo drive

Recommended Posts

My stock speedo face (lens and cover) mysteriously cracked and is no longer watertight so I'll probably be replacing it with a Trailtech speedo/tach. If so, I'll want to eliminate the speedo drive at the hub. I read about the "S" model trick of using a rotor-side spacer and seal but I have a feeling that the "SM" is different (because of axle, hub, forks)

Anybody know of the solution for an SM?

same thing as any other DRZ.spacer and seal from the other side.SM is not different.

Yup, it worked; I finally eliminated the speedo drive last week.
