KLR 650 Wheels

Hey Guys/Gals

Awesome Forum.

Ok..got a 93 KLR 650 that I want to adapt my 05 kx 250 SM wheels to.

My options so far are having a sleeve made up to allow for axle size difference or does anyone know (I haven't researched yet) if the stock hub can be laced up to the existing drill pattern for the 05 kx 250 wheels. By the way they are excel wheels. ( Im not worried about the speedo drive also).

Any suggestions are helpful

I am no expert but from what I have seen so far I think as long as the rim has right amount of holes , and the type is the same (i.e. straight pull spokes) then it is just the spokes that are the trick to matching up a 17" rim, I don't know about the 650 rear though, are they 17" like the 250 or are they 18" rear as standard?
