07 450 EXC stock exhaust

I need to know if there is a good(read extra performance/less weight) reason for going to an aftermarket silencer on my new 07 450 EXC. One thing I absolutely don't want is something that is much louder. I've never ridden a high performance 4C-my last ride was a 87 YZ490 with a wide ratio gearbox. HELP!

By the way, I just paid $7378.82 inc.tax OTD at Fay Myers in Denver.....

whadyathink about that? They had a preseason auction and I jumped on that like the proverbial starving dog at the butcher shop!

Here look at my post here.....there is a link for the exhaust, it is about the same db as the 06' once ya do it and it adds like 4hp........and by the way they do have a search program on here.......

A stock 06 silencer works vary well and is light enough unless you want to pay for more noise to loose a small amount of weight. The power gain is little and at WFO. Some have cut the stock silencer for the little added power but it's LOUD!

You need to mod your 07 to the 06.

It ain't "LOUD" once you cut the 07' exhaust its the same as a 06'.. Dude I have a 07' my buddy has a 04'. I have cut the exhaust just like the pic in the link...... Why go waste your money to go buy a 06' muffler when you can mod your 07' and it be the same?
